In 2017, customers and volunteers at Age Concern Lutterworth donated a massive 1,083kg of food to Lutterworth & Villages Foodbank. Thank you so much to everyone who donated food through our charity shop. Donated food goes towards providing those in an emergency situation, whether from job loss, loss of benefits, or homelessness, with a healthy food parcel while food bank staff help them towards a long-term solution.
With 151 kilos donated in January and 140 kilos donated in February, we are currently on track to give even more food this year! If you wish to donate, simply bring your food along to our shop at 7 High Street Lutterworth, and leave it in the green box by the door marked ‘Food Bank’. All your food donated will go towards helping those in crisis in our community.
For more information about Lutterworth & Villages Foodback, please check out their website at: https://lutterworthvillages.foodbank.org.uk/
This year Age Concern Lutterworth & District are promoting a ‘Stay Safe’ project.
We are issuing emergency medical detail forms which come with a protective pouch for you to keep the form in. We advise that you keep this form with you at all times as the information could aid the emergency services should you require them whilst away from home. Store it in your wallet or purse so that emergency services can find it easily if required.
If you have not yet received one of the forms they are available from the office in our shop, please pop in and get one!
Our photo gallery has been updated with photos from our Chatsworth House 2017 and New Years Party 2018 events.
The Chatsworth House photos can be found here. We went on a tour of the historic house, which had been decorated for Christmas following the theme ‘Oh Dickens It’s Christmas’, celebrating the works of Charles Dickens with lovely papercraft displays.
The photos from the New Years Party can be found here. We had a two course meal with entertainment, and everyone had a lovely time. Our next party will be the Easter party on the 27th March, and we hope to see both new and old faces there! Call into the office to book a place or ask for more information.
