Age Concern Lutterworth and District was started as an Old Peoples Welfare Organisation in 1962.
In 1987 the name changed to Age Concern and in mid 2000 upon joining the Age Concern Federation the name was changed to what it is today.
Through the Federation we are linked with other Age Concern groups and organisations and have adopted the Age Concern Mission:-
“TO PROMOTE THE WELL BEING OF ALL OLDER PEOPLE AND TO MAKE LATER LIFE A FULFILLING AND ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE”
In April 2009 Age Concern England and Help the Aged came together and are now Age UK. We will continue to use our Age Concern Lutterworth and District name at the present time.
