Christmas Time!

Christmas is coming up and here at Age Concern Lutterworth & District we’re already getting into the swing of the festive season!

This Friday the 30th is the Christmas Lights Switch On, and we’ll be open until 8pm with (limited amounts of) mince pies for sale if you want something to nibble or just to get out of the cold!

On Monday we have over 100 people going out to Blenheim Palace for their Christmas Cinderella Experience, followed by 180 people at our Christmas Party for a four course dinner on Wednesday!

On Saturday and Sunday the 8th and 9th of December it’s the Elf Trail in store, and we’ll be open from 11am – 3pm on Sunday for those hunting the naughty elves.

The store will be open again on Sunday the 16th of September from 11am – 3pm for everyone who still needs to get their shopping done.

We’ll be closed on December the 25th, 26th and 27th, but we wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!

Don’t forget the other events happening around Lutterworth this time of year!

This Sunday the 2nd is the Santa Fun Run – as always, Age Concern Lutterworth is planning on having a team of runners, and we welcome any runners or sponsors! Part of the money raised by the Lutterworth and Lutterworth Wycliffe Rotary clubs this year will go to the Share & Care group, who we’re also a supporter of – find out about their work with those living with dementia and their families on their website here.

Lutterworth Business Collect is holding a Christmas showcase this Monday the 3rd from 4pm – 8pm at the Wycliffe Rooms, with food, drink and local businesses showcasing a range of gifts and services. Of particular interest is the Lutterworth Security Camera specialists, for those who’ve been considering investing in home security.

On Christmas Day the Wycliffe Rooms is once again hosting a dinner for those who would otherwise be on their own at Christmas.

There’s plenty more going on around Lutterworth and the surrounding villages this Christmas – keep an eye out for the Swift Flash, Lutterworth & District Journal, Country Voice and other periodicals to learn what else is going on!
